TESOL Certificate

The TESOL Program is designed to equip individuals – regardless of their educational background – with the skills necessary to Teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in the United States or abroad. This online program enables students around the world to set their own pace, and learn in the comfort of their home. A good command of written and spoken English is required.

This completely online program offers two education tracks: Adult Education and K-12 Education. Both tracks consist of four core classes and two electives. Each of the six classes takes only six weeks to finish. The Adult Education track instructs how to assess the language ability of your students and find practical ways to teach communicative English with an overview of TESOL.

The K-12 Education track instructs language assessment, plus the current methods and technology used for working with young students in a content-based learning environment.

Official IELTS Testing Center

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a global English proficiency curriculum. Conducting 1.7 million tests annually, IELTS is the world's most popular English testing system. IELTS respects international diversity and fairly tests every participant regardless of nationality.

Depending upon where you want to study, work or migrate, you may choose from Academic or General Training. Both modules are composed of four parts - Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. IELTS results are graded on the IELTS nine-band scale.

Language & Culture Institute

The Institute introduces international students to American language and culture.

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program provides exemplary English language training using qualified ESL teachers in courses specifically designed to help students improve their English language skills in order to succeed academically, professionally, and socially. The curriculum is based on Academic English, Communicative English, and Acculturation.

The Academic English Curriculum is taught via the Academic Word List, utilizing academic textbooks and designing course syllabi and assignments that align with established academic requirements.

The Communicative English Approach helps students more effectively comprehend and communicate in English. The instruction focuses on both fluency and accuracy in language learning.

Acculturation contributes immeasurably to the above elements as it provides and builds an indispensable cultural context for reinforcing classroom learning. Thus, part of our curriculum introduces American culture to our students through activities such as social gatherings, local outings, and regional trips.
